The Poland international, who returned to training with Bayern on Wednesday, has a contract with the Bavarian side until the end of the coming season and he has already made his desire to leave the club known.

Should Bayern accept the newest offer from Xavi’s side, the funds are believed to be added onto the budget which will be put towards a second offer for De Ligt.

Although if Bayern keep hold of Lewandowski beyond this summer, he will be able to leave the club for nothing next year.

Bayern have made some moves this summer, with the club completing the signings of Liverpool’s Sadio Mane and Ajax duo Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui.

The German side are hopeful this will be enough in order to sign the talented defender as they try and replace Niklas Süle who left the club to join league rivals Borussia Dortmund.

Barcelona, however, have added defender Andreas Christensen and midfielder Franck Kessie to the squad on free transfers, plus Raphinha from Leeds for £56m.
