BBC Breakfast’s Carol Kirkwood left viewers in stitches after she accidentally announced she had seen ‘lots of doggers’ during a live segment today.
Speaking live from Greenwich park, the weather presenter, 57, could be heard explaining: ‘Greenwich park is one of the oldest enclosed of royal parks and look at it – fabulous!’
However, in a very unfortunate slip of the tongue, she continued: ‘The sun is beating down and we’ve seen lots of doggers – not doggers of course – dog walkers and joggers, around here during the course of this morning.’
Taking to Twitter following the amusing gaffe, Carol penned: ‘That will teach me to try and say joggers and dog walkers in the same sentence!!! Sorry!xxx’

And it seemed Carol wasn’t the only one to see the funny side of the amusing gaffe – as viewers were quick to take to Twitter.
‘Hahaha, influx of visitors to Greenwich park now looking for doggers,’ wrote one. while a second penned: ‘Almost choked on my weetabix laughing. Obviously all the ‘joggers’ must have already had theirs!’
Another added: ‘Thank you for making me snort a Rice Krispie out of my nose! Love your retrieval.’
Meanwhile, others questioned how she managed to keep a straight face – before branding her ‘a true professional.’

It comes just weeks after an expert’s live TV interview was interrupted by her toddler looking for advice on where to place a painting has revealed they settled the dilemma.
Dr Clare Wenham, from South London, appeared on BBC News in July to discuss the coronavirus crisis when her daughter Scarlett began rearranging a unicorn picture behind her – and even struck up a conversation with the newsreader.

Following the blunder, Dr Wehham tweeted that they decided on a spot for the artwork, and thanked people for their ‘kind words normalising the work-parent balance that so many are juggling amid Covid-19 chaos’.
