BBC Breakfast presenter Owain Wyn Evans has slammed cruel homophobic troll after receiving hateful handwritten letters.
The Welsh weatherman, 38, revealed on Instagram that the majority of letters he receives are ‘lovely’ but finds it ‘bizarre’ people spend time writing vile messages.
He shared a picture of the note on Instagram which read: ‘You raving bloody p**f, do you ave to be so camp on TV. It puts me off my meal! Stay in bl***y Wales where you belong.’

Owain hit back by saying: ‘The vast majority of letters I get from people are so, so lovely but I still find it bizarre that people take time to scrawl stuff like this onto a notepad and send it to me.
‘Hope this camp pic doesn’t put you off any meals today dahlings! (Warning, letter is hateful in nature).’
Fans and his famous friends such as Carol Vorderman and Stacey Dooley were quick to show their support in the comments.

It was recently revealed that Owain will replace Vanessa Feltz on BBC Radio 2’s early morning breakfast show.
He will present his programme from the BBC Cymru Wales broadcast centre in Cardiff starting in January 2023.
It will be the first programme on the station to move out of London as part of the BBC’s Across The UK plan.
Feltz departed from the show for TalkTV in July after more than 10 years of hosting the early morning breakfast show.

The radio programme will now be in the hands of the self-described ‘unapologetically flamboyant’ host Wyn Evans, who has 20 years of experience on TV and radio.
His TV career launched at age 18 when he appeared in children’s programmes on Welsh channel S4C. He then became a weatherman after studying meteorology with Open University.
Wyn Evans, who presents for BBC’s North West Tonight, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Breakfast, found wider fame during lockdown when a video of him drumming along to the BBC News theme tune went viral.
An hour after he posted the clip on Twitter, it had more than 20,000 likes and had been shared 5,000 times.
He had also caught the attention of thousands in 2019 when he referenced dozens of Ru Paul’s Drag Race stars during his on-air forecast in an effort to celebrate International Drag Day.
‘The time has come for me to forecast for my life,’ he told viewers. ‘I’m going to spill the tea alright and tell you that some of these clouds today are going to be throwing some serious shade, okay?’
‘So this weather front brought us some rain yesterday which is great news for our Nina Flowers in the garden, but I hope you didn’t get Courtney Act in any downpours.
‘So that weather front has indeed, sashayed away.’

The married broadcaster’s support for the LGBTQ+ community was publicised in 2020 when the LGBT Foundation had him open its Manchester Pride At Home celebrations.
The virtual event featured a series of online events, activities and support aimed to bring Pride into people’s homes during the pandemic.
Wyn Evans’ kicking off the online event, said: ‘I am officially going to be a patron of LGBT Foundation. For anyone unaware, they’re an organisation that works with lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people. They’re an amazing national charity based in Manchester.
‘During the last five decades, they’ve provided a listening ear, a friendly smile, life-saving information, life-enhancing services and support to LGBT people who’ve often had nowhere else to turn. They’ve also worked with allies across the country to lobby for and achieve political and social equality.’
The broadcaster, who married his husband Aaran Rees in 2017, said he was ‘delighted’ to be joining the ‘fantastic organisation’ that ‘supports 40,000 people every year.’
Wyn Evans was also left speechless last year after learning his 24-hour ‘drumathon’ raised more than £2.5million for Children In Need.
During the fundraiser, the weatherman was joined by 50 other drummers as he recreated his viral rendition of the BBC News theme song. Famous drummers, including McFly’s Harry Judd and percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie, also accompanied him during the event.
He completed his marathon with a performance of Britney Spears’ hit Baby One More Time, The weatherman is said to be a big fan of the popstar.
‘I’m feeling overwhelmed, people have been so generous,’ Wyn Evans told BBC after the marathon.
‘Surprisingly my hands have held up OK but we’ve had some problems with my arms because they’ve been moving for 24 hours.
‘Thank you so much to everyone who has put your hands in your pocket and donated, BBC Children In Need helps causes which are really close to my heart.’
