One of the bears pushed the other one vigorously onto the ground and started thrashing the bear with its front paws.

The bear stood up and attacked its foe once again trying to grab its neck using its mouth.

‘I was chatting with a friend at his house when one black bear approached. We shouted so it would walk away from us. I left a minute after that and saw the bear across the street,’ said Joseph Sedita to CBS2, who shot the footage.

‘I watched him for 10 seconds before another bear came around the corner of the neighbors house. I thought they were a mom and a big cub, but then they started fighting. They fought for between seven to eight minutes.’

‘I’ve never seen anything like that before,’ Sedita said.

‘I only recorded for like a minute, but they were going at it for seven or eight, probably,’ he said. ‘They were making a lot of growling noises at each other.’

Next door neighbor Karen Buccelli also watched the animals fight one another from the safety of her bedroom.

‘At first, I thought they were just fooling around, but they were really fighting, growling, making noises, crashing into the bushes,’ she said. ‘I thought they were going to knock into my neighbor’s pool and damage it, so that’s when I started yelling at them to stop.’

The bears seemed to listen and the fight came to an end.

Another neighbor, Katelin Myers said that it was quite common during the height of summer to witness the bears.

‘I’ve seen them walking through my yard. I’ve seen them strolling up and down the street, I’ve seen them getting into garbage, but I have never seen a bear fight like that,’ she said.
