The Famelab Monologues Contest is an international competition that sees scientists explaining their research in three-minute presentations.

The competition, which began at the Cheltenham Science Festival in the UK, aims to promote the communication of science to non-scientists.

Letizia has been a long-standing supporter of the scheme, attending previous Famelab events in the past.

It comes after Letizia was the picture of elegance as she and her husband King Felipe received the President of Colombia and his wife on Thursday.

The Spanish monarch hosted a lunch at the Royal Palace in Madrid for the President of Colombia Ivan Duque Marquez and wife Maria Juliana Ruiz.

Looking typically polished, the 49-year-old donned a red silk gown by Massimo Dutti featuring button detailing on the sleeves and a cinched waist teamed with a pair of matching slingback heels.

Letizia most recently wore the dress during the launch of the ‘Spain For Sure’ Campaign at the Prado Museum in Madrid in June 2020.
