Beauty and the Geek’s Tara Schwarz and Michael Gebicki have decided to stay together as a real-life couple after meeting on the show.
The shy geek and outgoing beauty found that opposites attract after been matched on the heartwarming Channel Nine dating show.
They confirmed their romance on Sunday’s episode during a game of ‘Slow or Steady’, which is similar to the MAFS commitment ceremonies.

The pair each voted to make their relationship official, which is uncommon for BATG as usually the couples decide to be just friends at the end of the season.
During the segment, each couple had to write ‘steady’ if they wanted to make their relationship official, or ‘slow’ to remain friends.
Michael revealed he was not expecting connect with someone and was keen to take the next step in their relationship.

‘I met a girl that complements me in all the best ways, I was not expecting this,’ he said, as he opened his envelope to reveal his decision.
Tara then opened her envelope to reveal she had also written ‘steady’.
‘I’ve met a guy who actually made me believe in love again, so that’s pretty special,’ she said.
It comes after the pair’s fledgling romance was put to the test when the mermaid performer visited Michael’s ramshackle share house for the first time.

As Michael led the way inside, Tara was taken aback at by his living situation.
‘This is my place,’ he said began with a laugh.
‘Goodness,’ a shocked Tara replied.

Michael then gave Tara a tour of his place, complete with broken and rusted shower, torn curtains and a filthy stovetop.
The exterior of the home was covered in peeling paint and junk was strewn across the backyard.
Before the tour, Tara said she had strong feelings for children’s entertainer.
