Usually I would hold off until spring to talk tanning, but this year there is a new type of glow in town. Softer, more diffused and less severe than the solid contouring popular on social media, it made a radiant appearance at the Alexander Wang and Michael Kors S/S 18 shows.
Boost your radiance with a soft, diffused glow, as seen at the Michael Kors S/S 18 show
To achieve the look, mix Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation (£35) in a shade darker than you might otherwise wear into your moisturiser. Blend it over your face before topping cheeks with the classic Liquid Blush in Orgasm (£27, both narscosmetics.co.uk).

If your skin tends to be oily, find the biggest bronzing palette you can get your hands on – Tom Ford The Ultimate Bronzer in Gold Dust (£75, harrods.com) is creamy and blendable – and use a huge, fluffy brush such as Laura Mercier Bronzer Brush (£38, johnlewis.com) to apply it in circular motions over the entire face.

Tickle the same bronzer on to your eyelids and don’t forget your neck, then simply add lip balm and mascara. Smooth and even with a latte-like glow. This look is far too flattering to defer until spring.
Since the launch of Prada Candy in 2011, the scent has been through several incarnations. Now Prada Candy Sugar Pop (£51.50, theperfumeshop.com) joins the collection, blending notes of peach, vanilla and apple. Excessive, extroverted and warming, it is my favourite way to cast off the shackles of a cold, blue winter.
Available nationwide from Saturday.
This week we’re…switching our winter-berry shades for Nailberry L’Oxygéné polish in purple Extravagant (£14.50, selfridges.com). With a hint of regal chic, it is the ideal way to transition your tips into spring.
