Bec and Lleyton Hewitt sell their Toorak mansion for ‘at least $15million’ after a month on the market as the family move to the Gold Coast

Bec and Lleyton Hewitt have sold their ‘first-class’ French-inspired mansion in Toorak, Melbourne, after listing it a month ago.

The former tennis pro, 40, and actress, 38, are moving to Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, after earlier rumours suggested they were considering a move to Sydney.

Their 34 Heyington Place home was sold to a local family for an undisclosed sum, but the Herald Sun reports it was within the $15million to $16million price guide.

‘[The property] was very well viewed online, but also there was quite good genuine interest in it,’ said Jellis Craig Stonnington selling agent Phillip French.

Mr French said the home had generated interest from buyers in nearby suburbs, such as Kew, as well as from other states and even overseas.

‘There are some very good buyers around at the moment, and there’s a little bit of a shortage of high-end properties,’ he added.

The Hewitts’ three-storey mansion has five spacious bedrooms, each with their own ensuite, as well as a parents’ retreat and a dressing room on the top floor.

There is a 12-seat cinema in the basement, plus a gym, a 1,800-bottle wine cellar and a garage.

Also included are multiple living and dining areas, a French provincial-inspired kitchen with high-quality appliances, and a study.

The outside has an in-built trampoline, heated swimming pool and an AstroTurf court for basketball and tennis.

Bec and Lleyton privately bought a beachside property on the Gold Coast in October for $4.305million.

The couple were initially rumoured to be contemplating a move to Sydney.

The Hewitts have previously lived in Sydney suburbs Palm Beach and Kenthurst, South Australia, and even the Bahamas.
