Why Bec Judd’s favourite new accessories range is selling a handbag every 10 seconds around the country

  • Australian accessories brand Prene is selling a handbag every 10 seconds
  • The new collection has been made in collaboration with AFL WAG Bec Judd
  • The most popular bag among the styles is a cross-body bag that costs $89.95
  • The founder Tammy Green said the launch of the bags was delayed due to COVID

An accessories brand is selling a handbag every 10 seconds after launching a new range on Wednesday, with one style out-stripping all of the others in terms of demand.

Prene’s ‘Bec Range’, which has been designed in collaboration with the AFL WAG, mum-of-four and model Bec Judd, boasts 10 bags in multiple colourways, with prices ranging from $79.95 all the way through to $199.

This is the second collaboration the Australian accessories brand has done with Bec Judd.

The Prene founder Tammy Green told FEMAIL: ‘When we first launched the Beg bag in 2019, it sold every minute on launch day.

‘We were overwhelmed with the response.

‘Since then, it has sold out over 10 times, which we have continued to re-order to ensure we have it in stock. To date, it’s one of our bestselling styles.’

Tammy added: ‘This latest launch is super exciting for us because 2020 meant we had to delay this.

‘Bec and I are both Melbourne-based and spent the majority of 2020 in lockdown, which meant we experienced a multitude of delays from manufacturing through to sampling and holding out campaign shoot.

‘We wanted to ensure the timing was perfect.’

The most popular among the new bags is the West Coast Cross-Body Bag ($89.95), which is sold in both grey and black and black and gold and boasts a detachable strap (pictured)

This style is proving popular because of its versatile uses.

Lightweight but hard working, Prene promises you’ll be able to easily carry all of your daily essentials inside it, and you can also detach the rope strap, meaning the bag can turn from a cross body by day into a chic clutch at night.

The bag features two external pockets, which are perfect for your keys and lipstick, as well as one internal pocket that is ideal for any valuables.

Every single bag is made from neoprene, which means not only does it look good, but it's also easy to look after and throw into the washing machine (the Ace Phone Pouch pictured)

Other highlights in the collection include the original ‘Bec Bag’ in black and grey, which can be bought in either a medium or large size ($169.95-$199.95).

Shoppers are also loving the Sportif Waist Bag ($89.95), which many are saying works brilliantly for storing all of your essentials including your mask and phone when on a walk in lockdown.
