An Australian brand has made it onto Kourtney Kardashian’s list of ‘must-have’ gifts to send tp her nearest and dearest family and friends for Christmas.

Bed Threads, which is best known for selling sustainable linen bed sheets, was selected by the popular Kardashians star to send out to 50 of her closest relatives as part of her ‘Poosh Holiday mailer’.

Poosh is Kourtney’s health and wellness lifestyle brand that helps followers curate a modern, wellness-focused lifestyle.

In a YouTube video, Kourtney, 43, chose the Terracotta bedding set and seemed impressed that Bed Threads is a 100 per cent carbon-neutral and plastic-free brand.

‘I love the way linen sheets look but if they’re not actually soft then there’s no point. And these are so soft,’ Kourtney said in the unboxing video, and can be seen feeling the product.

Each recipient selected their own personal colour and size, available in 23 unique bedding colour ways to choose from.

Using the ‘build your bundle’ feature on the website customers can choose the colour of their entire set – from the sheets to the doona cover and pillowcases.

Bed Threads was founded by ex-journalist Genevieve Rosen-Biller and her husband Alan Biller in 2017 from their Bondi apartment after two years of rigorous product development and research.

Since then the brand has served more than 600,000 happy customers, saves 1512 tonnes of carbon and toured 175 homes from ‘The Makers’ series.

In 2020 the brand launched into the US followed by the UK last year.

Previously co-founder Genevieve spoke to FEMAIL about why linen is such a good fabric to sleep on, and shared her tips for people with a business idea they want to develop.

‘In 2014, I was moving into a new apartment and really wanted some linen bedding,’ Genevieve said.

‘After looking at what was on the market, I realised everything was way over my budget and everything was inconveniently sold as separates.’

Frustrated, Genevieve wondered whether she should just create something herself.

‘After two years of research and product development I launched Bed Threads in 2017 and we sold out our first round of stock in three weeks,’ she said.

To this day, the company remains the only retailer in Australia selling luxurious 100 per cent French flax linen bedding sets for an affordable price.
