Bejeweled locks are back in a big way, and according to TikTok, set to dominate hair trends throughout 2023.

Straand Hair saw the trend coming and launched their BlingBling machine before Christmas – only to sell out in days with one added to a would-be trendsetter’s cart every 25 minutes.

The machine helps clip diamantes to the hair effortlessly and without causing damage and is back in stock in time for the new year.

‘This is the hottest festival and party look there is – it is perfect for summer – I am just obsessed,’ one woman wrote on a video showing off the trend.

Influencer Jacquie Alexander showed off her BlingBling machine the moment it arrives and seemed thrilled by the results.

She grinned as she added the first diamante, nd continued to pepper them through her blonde locks.

‘I think this is something you could do on someone else, doing it on yourself is kind of hard because I don’t know where I have put them,’ she admitted.

At first she was anxious that she looked like a ‘garbage rat’ with rubbish in her hair but got her partner to add more of the gems to ‘make it look more intentional’.

In a follow up video she strokes her hair to show off the gems and looks thrilled with the results.

Despite her initial concerns the young woman’s fans were amazed by the hair transformation.

‘This hair is such a slay,’ one woman said.

While others said it made her ‘look like a fairy’.

‘The stones look gorgeous in your hair. I am jealous because they would look even better in mine,’ said another in an odd back-handed compliment.

She wore the gems to a concert and said they stayed in all night.

Another influencer, who posts under lifeof_Georgia also showed off the gems before the concert, choosing silver from the four colours in the pack.

‘I am honestly obsessed with this,’ she said, stamping the gems into her hair.

‘I don’t know when to stop.’

And people were just as keen on her gemmed-up locks.

‘I need that gem machine,’ one woman wrote.

Georgia was so obsessed with the machine she made a second video – adding them to her hair for an ‘everyday look’.

‘Bury me in this thing, I am not even going to a concert today I just wanted gems in my hair,’ she said.

The machine has been described as: ‘The ultimate accessory for you this sparkle season’.

It retails for $29 and is available online now, after selling out in days after launching before Christmas.
