Young Belorussian cadets donned their finest clothes to take part in the fourth New Year Republican Suvorov Cadet Ball at the Uruchie Sports Palace tonight.
Young men wore their military gear, while their dates dressed in white and pink gowns to mark the special occasion.
Others partygoers turned up in traditional Belorussian dress – including small corsets and bellowing brightly coloured tutus.
The festivities included formal dancing before more lighthearted play later.
One teen picked up his date as she swung her arms around his neck. Dressed in a white dress with silver shoes and sparkling earrings, the playful shot wasn’t unlike a wedding photo.
Adding festive spirit to the bash, an inflatable Santa joined the crowd of festive teens as they danced the night away in their best clothes.
Suvorov Military Schools are a type of boarding school in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan for boys of 14–18. The schools are named after Alexander Suvorov, an eighteenth century general.
