Bentley hails record sales amid plans to make all its cars electric

The Americas region centred on the USA delivered 4,212 cars, an increase of 39 per cent on the 3,035 sales achieved in 2020.

That makes the key region Bentley’s number one market with ‘strong performance’ boosted by the introduction of the Continental GT Speed and a full year of sales of the Flying Spur.

Sales of Continental GT Speed helped boost sales in the US, Bentley’s top market

China was Bentley’s biggest growth market for the second consecutive year, as sales increased 40 per cent to 4,033 cars compared to 2,880 in 2020. The firm said: ‘The traditional four-door market maintained strong sales of Flying Spur and Bentayga.’

Europe ended the year with the delivery of 2,520 cars compared to a figure of 2,193 in 2020, a 15 per cent increase driven by evenly split sales across model lines.

UK sales continued ‘consistent strong performance’ as Bentley’s home market recorded 1,328 cars sold – a 14 per cent increase over the previous year.

Middle East customers took delivery of 915 cars in 2021, against a total of 735 the previous year, up a quarter (24 per cent).

The Asia Pacific region posted an increase of 37 per cent and a record performance, delivering 1,651 cars, against 1,203 sold in 2021.
