Despite failing to win a star, the 25-year-old finished with five snake bites after a striking snake savaged his hand during the challenge.

The challenge saw the contestants reaching into boxes to grab a key, with each box containing a different terrifying creature inside.
The boxes contained everything from scorpions and biting ants to clawed frogs and hedgehogs, but it was Bernard’s box that housed the dreaded striking snake.
Despite receiving help from his co-stars and host Julia Morris, the tennis pro lost the challenge after failing to grab the key.

Bernard added: ‘I saw Warnie get bitten by one snake. I got bitten by one snake five times!’
