Beth Chapman’s final days bounty hunting captured in Dog’s Most Wanted, ahead of show’s premiere

She was known for being her husband’s partner in his hunt for criminals on the run. 

Beth Chapman tragically lost a battle with lung and throat cancer last month but worked on her husband’s latest show up until her hospitalization weeks before her death. 

In the trailer for the upcoming season of Dog’s Most Wanted, released Monday, Dog and Beth are seen coming to terms with her illness and working through her fight.

The season will be the reality star’s last appearance alongside her bounty hunter husband.

Ahead of the September premiere of the WGN America show, Beth faced her diagnosis head on.

In the trailer she is heard saying ‘once you find out it’s incurable lung cancer, there’s no stage 5.’

She is shows adjusting hair extensions along her scalp and saying ‘If I’m gonna die, I’m gonna die in my boots,’ Beth said.

She was active in working with her husband and was shown giving him instructions through a walkie talkie.

The 51-year-old announced she was diagnosed with stage II throat cancer diagnosis in September 2017, she was said to cancer free in December of that same year after doctors removed a tumor.

The cancer returned one year later – in November 2018 and that is spread to her lungs; she was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer.

On Sunday the 66 year old shared a sweet snap of his wife smiling with the caption ‘my baby.’ 

The photo comes almost one month since her passing; she died on June 26 after battling both lung and throat cancer.

Beth was in a medically-induced coma four days before her passing at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Dog announced her passing on Twitter; he wrote: ‘It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.’

The bounty hunter met Beth when she was just 19; he was 16 years her senior; They had an on-off romance for years before they both went on to marry other people and have children.

They finally got married in 1995 – only two days after his 23-year-old daughter died in a car accident.

They went ahead with the wedding as a celebration of Barbara’s life; they got married on May 20, 2006 in Waikoloa Village, Hawaii at a hotel.

She has two children from her previous relationships; she had son Dominic, now 34, and a daughter with her first husband Keith A. Barmore: Cecily, now 26.

Dominic had been taken from Beth when she was 17 by the state of Colorado. 

Dog, who has nine children from previous relationships, and Beth welcomed two children together: Bonnie, now 20, and Garry, now 18.

Dog and Beth became household names after they were featured on Take This Job – about people with unusual jobs.

That in turn led to the duo landing a interview on truTV show Dominick Dunne’s Power, Privilege and Justice.

Dog and Beth got their own reality show called Dog the Bounty Hunter, which debuted in August, 2004 until it was canceled in 2012.

They had a new series called Dog And Beth: On The Hunt, that debuted on September 25, 2012 on CMT.

His new series called Dog’s Most Wanted is set to premiere Sept. 4 on WGN.
