Beyonce’s seven-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter has made her singing debut in her new song ‘Brown Skin Girl’. 

Singing on the tune from The Lion King: The Gift – the singer’s new album of original songs which she has dubbed a ‘love letter to Africa’ – the youngster’s lyrics include: ‘Brown skin girl, your skin just like pearls, the best thing in the world, never trade you for anybody else.’ 

Her inspiring message on the hit, which also features St Jhn, Wizkid and encourages people to love their own skin, has left fans on the verge of tears with some claiming she has outshone and ‘dethroned’ her famous mum.

The daughter of Beyonce and Jay Z’s pretty vocals are evident as she opens and closes the song – which also celebrates fellow brown skin women such as Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o and supermodel Naomi Campbell.  

Fans couldn’t contain their pride as they rushed to Twitter to celebrate the message sweet Blue was conveying.

Blue is also seen in the music video for Spirit, official soundtrack for The Lion King unveiled her new song from the official soundtrack, Spirit.

The music video is set against an African backdrop with the iconic singer belting out her tune in the desert, in the midst of a real animal kingdom.

 Her young daughter Blue Ivy is clad in a matching lavender gown, walking up to her mother just as the shot from The Lion King is featured, where the young Simba (Donald Glover) steps into the larger footstep of his father Mufasa (James Earl Jones).

In the past Beyonce has said that Blue Ivy has a deep interest in music; she has also shared videos of the child singing. 

Meanwhile, Beyonce’s Lion King album will also have a collaboration with Kendrick Lama, Childish Gambino, Jessie Reyez, Tierra Whack and Wale, and others.  

The Beyonce-produced-and-curated compilation album, The Lion King: The Gift, is due out July 19, the same day the film hits theatres.
