Beyonce’s mom Tina Knowles has filed for divorce from her second husband, actor Richard Lawson, after eight years of marriage.
Tina, 69, filed the paperwork on Wednesday, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the split as per TMZ.
The businesswoman and fashion designer listed the date of separation as Tuesday according to the documents obtained by the publication.
In the documents Tina also asks ‘to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support’ to Richard, 76, or her.
Tina and Richard said ‘I do’ in April 2015. They do not have any kids together.

Tina – born Celestine Ann Beyonce – had changed her name to Celestine Lawson when she wed Richard, and reportedly wants to change it back to Celestine Knowles, the name of her ex-husband.
Tina shares two kids with her first husband, Mathew Knowles, 71: superstar daughter Beyonce, 41, and singer and actress Solange, 37.
Tina split from her daughters’ father in 2009. The pair were married for 31-years from 1980 to 2011.
She then tied the knot with Poltergeist actor on a yacht outside of Newport beach, California in 2015.
At the time Beyonce shared a snap of the newlyweds on her website, showing them both posing in their co-ordinating white outfits.
All the guests at the wedding – including Beyonce, her husband Jay Z, their daughter Blue Ivy and Tina’s other daughter, Solange – were asked to wear white to the evening ceremony.
At the time she opened up about finding love with Richard – who has also been married before – after her divorce.

Richard is known for his work on the soap All My Children, as well as starring in the 1982 horror Poltergeist.
Meanwhile in June 2013, Mathew married former model Gena Charmaine Avery in his hometown of Houston, Texas.
