Bichon Frise mother teaches her pup how to sit for treats

  • Cute little Millie encourages her pup to sit by pressing on her bottom
  • Nine-week old Daisy soon masters the art of how to get treats
  • The pup was apparently branded ‘too thick’ to be trained but she quickly follows her mum’s wise example

This is the adorable moment a Bichon Frise mum gives her pup a helping hand in sitting for treats.

Cute little Millie presses down on her baby Daisy’s bottom with a paw to show her the tried and tested way to get a tasty reward.

The pooch lovingly guides her nine-week-old daughter onto the floor so her owner Mark Callathan can feed her the biscuit.

Daisy was apparently returned to breeders Ian Beardsmore and Mark Callathan by her new owner because she was ‘too thick’ to be trained.

The heart-melting 30-second clip shows her leaping up excitedly, trying to reach the food while her mum and sibling wait patiently.

Her owner repeatedly commands her to sit and at first she takes no notice.

Staring up at him with wide eyes, she looks bamboozled by the order.

But the quick-learning pup can soon be seen following her mother’s guidance and sitting obligingly for her owner.

Mischevious and playful, Bichon Frise are one of the most popular dog breeds in the world.
