The first stage of Tuesday’s auditions, according to a producer run-sheet, involved groups of people meeting with a producer for 15 minutes in a ‘diary room’ inspired scenario.

Presumably, this would involve contenders to delver a mock video diary entry to camera, just as the housemates do on Big Brother.

Those who fail to impress the producer are immediately rejected and sent home.

It’s likely producers would have used these topics during the auditions to spark debate among potential candidates.

Big Brother first premiered back in 2001 and continued for eight seasons.

It was previously filmed in a $13 million house and production facility at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, but the property was burned down by four children in June.

Channel Seven’s Head of Programming, Angus Ross, confirmed in late October that Big Brother 2020 would be pre-recorded with Survivor-like challenges.
