- Big Brother’s Daniel Hayes currently holed up in hotel quarantine in Melbourne
- He shared a disturbing video on You Tube of a fellow hotel guest who was irate
- Has since emerged a police officer allegedly told the man he would be ‘gassed’
A Big Brother star has filmed a fiery confrontation between a guest in hotel quarantine and a policeman who allegedly threatened to ‘gas’ the man if he left his room.
Victorian real estate agent and reality TV personality Daniel Hayes recorded the sound of the 19-year-old man losing his temper at the Melbourne facility on Saturday.
‘Calm down or you are going to get f***ing gassed,’ the police officer can be heard firmly telling the guest in the video.
‘F***ing do it then,’ the irate man replied.
‘I’ve been here a f***ing fortnight, I’m not f***ing staying here any f***ing longer.’
He is believed to have thought he would be finally leaving his room after two weeks of quarantine at midday on Saturday afternoon, The Herald Sun reported.
When he was told he was actually only allowed to check out 12 hours later, he became enraged and allegedly damaged his room.
Victoria police have since charged the 19-year-old with criminal damage. He remains in custody and will face Melbourne Magistrate’s Court on September 5.
Hayes is holed up at the Element Hotel in the inner-city Melbourne suburb of Richmond for 14 days after filming Big Brother VIP in Sydney.
The furious hotel guest was told to ‘move your bag, close the door, (and) don’t f–ing come out again.’
The sound of banging and smashing follow as Hayes continues to record the confrontation.
The video then shifted to Hayes, who said the man wanted ‘to go somewhere where the walls won’t cave in’.

‘Poor guy, I can relate,’ Hayes said.
The reality star then said he ‘feels for these guys, this is sh*t. This is hotel quarantine.’
Hayes was also given a formal warning for opening his hotel room without wearing a mask during the saga, a Covid-19 Quarantine Victoria spokesman said.
The reality TV personality has also been highly critical of hotel quarantine protocols through his social media channels.
After nine negative Covid tests, Hayes asked if he could complete his two week mandatory stint in isolation from his Geelong home following his time in Sydney.
The request was denied by authorities.

Despite failing to finish in the top three on Big Brother this year, the 48-year-old still proved to be a popular contestant with viewers.
Hayes spent over two months surviving countless evictions and cutting deals, before his time in the house finally came to an end after 62 days in late June.
Ultimately, Marley Biyendolo was declared the winner ahead of Christina Podolyan and Sarah Jane Adams.
