Big Brother star Krystal Forscutt reveals her seven foolproof tips for getting her baby to sleep

From ‘The Mum Hold’ to gentle rocking and traditional bedtime lullabies: Big Brother star Krystal Forscutt reveals her seven foolproof tips for getting a baby to sleep

She gave birth to her second child just ten months ago.

And Krystal Hipwell (née Forscutt) knows a thing or two about getting a fussy little one to sleep.

On Wednesday, the 32-year-old took to Instagram to share her seven foolproof – and hilarious – tips for ensuring her baby gets to bed.

‘It’s similar to preparing for battle!’ Big Brother star Krystal Forscutt revealed her seven foolproof tips for getting her baby to sleep in an Instagram post Wednesday. Krystal is pictured with her daughter Nakoda

The former Big Brother star posted a photo of herself with baby daughter Nakoda napping in her arms, alongside the caption: ‘To the untrained eye this might look like a peaceful setting of a loving mother embracing her child.

‘But really there’s nothing peaceful about it. Getting a baby to sleep can be similar to preparing for battle!’ she continued.

The former reality star then went on to describe her seven pointers for new mothers, including assuming the ‘mum headlock’ position.

Krystal Forscutt’s tips for getting a baby to sleep

STEP 1 : Assume Headlock aka ‘The Mum Hold’ position

STEP 2: Maintain position while baby thrashes around like the prey of a carpet snake until they eventually give up fighting

STEP 3: Simultaneously rock gently from side to side and pat them on the bottom as though your life depended on it, DO NOT for a second break or change tempo of the rocking or patting!

STEP 4: Don’t forget to sing ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star’ a minimum of 50 times without stopping (very important)

STEP 5: Once you believe that they are 100% asleep only then attempt the transfer into the cot, I repeat – ONLY ATTEMPT IF YOU ARE CERTAIN!

STEP 6: Break away from headlock with ease, at the same time singing, patting and praying that they stay asleep

STEP 7: Quietly drop to floor and commando crawl the heck out of there!

WARNING: should you have creaky floor boards or suffer from creaky joints this may cause baby to wake before you exit the room, therefore refer back to Step 1 and begin the process again

The helpful advice comes after Krystal left fans stunned with her remarkable post-baby body transformation.

In January, the mother-of-two shared before and after photos of her figure taken just a year apart.

The left image showed her at 18-weeks pregnant while the right showed her seven months postpartum, posing in the same spot in Gerringong, NSW.

Krystal – who welcomed Nakoda, on May 31 – wrote in the caption: ‘One year on – 18 weeks pregnant vs seven [months] postpartum!’

She added: ‘[These were] taken at the exact same place on our annual family holiday last year. Seriously where has the time gone?’
