Big Brother’s Katie Williams gushes about new girlfriend Georgia Hull

Former Big Brother Australia star Katie Williams debuted her first same-sex relationship with girlfriend Georgia Hull in August. 

And the 27-year-old athlete has now spoken candidly about her new romance in an interview with Daily Mail Australia. 

Katie, who is an Evian ‘Bottle from Bottles’ ambassador, said she ‘couldn’t be more in love if she tried’. 

‘I couldn’t be more in love if I tried. She’s my best friend, my number one supporter and my partner in crime,’ Katie said. 

‘We really do match each other’s energy. We’ve had many personal ups and downs in lockdown and we’ve helped each other through it all. We’ve laughed, we cried, we’ve danced and embraced it all.’

Speaking about makeup artist Georgia being her first ever girlfriend, Katie said they’ve developed ‘an emotional bond like no other’.

‘She is actually my first girlfriend. Before Georgia I had dated guys! It’s so different; it’s an emotional bond like no other,’ she said. 

‘I’m really proud of how we’ve handled our relationship. I was trolled and questioned after Big Brother about my sexuality, and I stand strong in who I am, and who I love.’

Katie, who is a world champion beach sprinter, has just signed up for Evian’s ‘bottle made from bottles’ initiative, which helps promote environmental sustainability.

The blonde said that after spending years at the beach competing, she wants to help protect the ocean.  

‘The ocean and surfing has been a huge part of my life, it grounds me, and calms my mind. Without nature I don’t feel myself,’ she said.

‘Sustainability is extremely important to me, there is no planet B.’

She added: ‘I want the future generation to experience a cleaner world and it’s our duty to protect and preserve our environment. Starting with awareness, education and then taking action.’

Katie also gave tips to reduce waste, suggesting people take their own Keep Cups to their favourite cafés, pick up rubbish at the beach, and listen and educate others.
