Jennifer and Phoebe Gates celebrated their mother Melinda French Gates’ 58th birthday on Monday with heartwarming tributes.
The sisters, who are the only daughters of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and his ex-wife, each took to Instagram to post photos of themselves with their mom in honor of their special day.
Jennifer, 26, opted for a sweet snapshot of herself kneeling down to talk to her mom on her wedding day last fall, writing: ‘Wishing the happiest birthday to the woman I look up to everyday [sic].’

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Phoebe announced on Instagram Stories on Sunday that she was ‘back to London’ — where she has been staying with Melinda — right in time for her mom’s birthday.

‘Happy birthday to the most incredible woman. To know you is to love you. Reflecting on this day it’s hard to fathom how blessed I am to call you both my mother and my person,’ the teen wrote in the caption.
Phoebe’s tribute comes just a week after she spent some quality time with her boyfriend and mother in London.
She shared photos from their weekend together, including a sweet image of herself cuddled up next to her beau at dinner, writing: ‘Love having you here with me [heart emoji].’
The Stanford University student was dressed to impress in a $2,170 hand embroidered mini dress from the Annie’s x Clio Peppiatt capsule collection.
Inspired by Victorian fairytale illustrations, the sparkly midnight blue frock features a whimsical scene of gold beaded fairies dancing under the moon.

The mother and daughter posed for a photo together during lunch, and Phoebe matched her mom in white, though she opted for a sweetheart strapless frock.
‘Love you mama,’ she wrote in the on-screen text.
Another image from the day showed Phoebe’s boyfriend sitting in a park, chatting with her mother. Melinda seems to be a fan of her youngest daughter’s new man.

Online trolls insinuated that Phoebe’s boyfriend was using her for her family’s money and her father wouldn’t approve of their interracial relationship.

Phoebe will likely be returning stateside in the next coming weeks as Stanford’s fall quarter starts on September 26.
