Billie Faiers enrages husband Greg Shepherd as she points out mistake in £1.4 million mansion

Billie Faiers has enraged her husband Greg Shepherd by pointing out a mistake in their swimming pool in their £1.4 million mansion.

The former TOWIE star, 32, is currently renovating the huge new home in Brentwood, and documenting the process on Billie & Greg: The Family Diaries which aired on Wednesday night.

On Wednesday’s episode however, she discovered a problem with their outdoor swimming pool.

Billie complained: ‘In hindsight, the pool should have been the other way around. The shallow end should have been at this end and the deep…’

Irritated, Greg cut in: ‘For God’s sake, Billie. You’re annoying me, you’re annoying me. You’re just annoying me.’

He then stormed off, as his wife continued: ‘Do you know what I’m saying though?

‘Logistically you can run in from there and run and jump into the deep end.’

She then muttered under her breath: ‘I’m just saying…’

She later addressed the camera, saying: ‘It would have been better to have the deep end back further and then the shallow end at this end.”

Greg sarcastically shot back: ‘Oh yeah. We’ll fill it in and start again, shall we? Are you serious?!’

The couple’s building work is currently 24 weeks behind schedule, with Billie recently revealing they won’t be able to move in until later this year.

Last week’s episode saw the problems continue to build up as Billie broke down due to stress over the renovation.

The recent instalment saw Greg take landscaping in the garden into his own hands – but Billie was less than impressed.

Billie shook her head at her husband in disapproval and asked: ‘Why can’t we just have a brick wall done?’

Greg was taken aback by the question and replied: ‘But why have you said that now?’

Despite getting off to a bad start, Billie is still looking forward to moving her family into their new forever home.

However, the couple couldn’t hide their upset after learning renovations to their £1.4 million dream home were 24 weeks behind schedule.

In scenes that aired during a previous episode of The Family Diaries, the couple were told that workmen couldn’t continue with the development until they ‘started to make decisions’ on the interior.

Billie and Greg’s dream home has been plagued with delays after it was reported that they were ‘at war’ with their neighbours over the ongoing renovations, which started in January 2021.

Paying a visit to the property, Billie and Greg were greeted by their project manager Lee, who revealed that the renovation team were unable to carry on with work on the house until they received guidance on Billie’s plans for the interior.

Greg explained: ‘There’s no one working because we haven’t been giving them decisions.

‘This is interior and he needs to be on top of it a bit more, and he’s waiting for information from you,’ before turning to Billie.

Noting the remaining steps in the renovations, Lee told the couple: ‘It’s basically, kitchen, utility all that we’re going to do and stairs, and then we can get everything in place and call the plasters in.’

As Greg asked how far behind schedule they were with renovations on the home, Lee admitted they were currently 24 weeks late.

Greg admitted: ‘Lee told us before that it was behind but it’s shocked me for him to tell me it’s 24 weeks behind, it’s been dragged out long enough and it’s time.

‘At this rate I’ll have finished the garden before you finish the interior.’

The couple’s ongoing work on their new home has been documented on Family Diaries with Billie saying: ‘The series starts, going back to Christmas time, and Arthur was being a bit challenging, to say the least. He’d got in trouble at school.

‘We do share it all, because I think other parents and people that watch the show, they know that life isn’t all roses and sunshine and lovely.

‘And we are so open with it and honest and I think that’s probably part of the success of the show, is that people can relate to it.

‘Kids do get in trouble, kids do misbehave, and then with Arthur it’s a bit of a journey actually.’

Given The Family Diaries was filmed months earlier, it remains to be seen where the couple are now in their lengthy renovation process.

The Family Diaries continues on Wednesday at 9pm on ITVBe.
