Billie Piper is a vision in liquid gold dress as she poses for sultry photoshoot taken by pal Jaime Winstone

Billie Piper was a vision in dark gold on Instagram on Tuesday as she concealed her face with her hair for a series of sultry snaps.

The actress, 41, looked incredible in the textured one-shoulder dress and posed in front of a white backdrop.

She completely covered her face in a closer-up shot as she continued to stun in the dress which accentuated her small waist.

Billie credited fellow actress Jaime Winstone for the fabulous shots, writing: ‘C/o @jaimewinstone [yellow heart] u Jam.’

Jaime, 39, reshared the post on her Story and wrote: ‘When your friends are this fit!! @billiepiper @hardingegeorgia.’

On Billie’s post itself, Jaime wrote: ‘Love you so much, I mean when your friends are this fit.’

Billie shared an extra photo to her Story from the shoot and in it, she stood underneath a yellow paint outline of a sun.

The former Doctor Who star was last seen on screens in July, when she made a cameo in Australian-British comedy-drama Austin.

Prior to that, Billie enjoyed wide acclaim for her role as Sam McAlister, a former television producer, responsible for Prince Andrew’s infamous Newsnight interview, in Netflix film Scoop.

Released in April, Scoop is based on Sam’s book Scoops and also starred Gillian Anderson and Rufus Sewell.

That same month, in an exclusive interview with MailOnline, Billie lamented the lack of success of her Sky series I Hate Suzie.

The dark comedy centred around Suzie Pickles (Billie), a former teenage pop star and television actress whose phone is hacked resulting in the leaking of her intimate photos.

Billie drew on her own life for the role – at 15, she became the youngest-ever singer to debut at number one when her single Because We Want To was released in 1998.

Billie told MailOnline of I Hate Suzie: ‘It just didn’t get a big enough audience – that’s the way it goes.

‘People in television loved it, because I guess it is largely about the world in which they work, but it wasn’t seen by as many people beyond that world as we would like it to have been.’

I Hate Suzie, by Succession writer and executive producer Lucy Prebble, ran for two series from 2020 to 2022 on Sky Atlantic.

Billie has always denied the series was autobiographical despite the similarities between Lucy and herself.

Each episode is focused on ‘one of the eight stages of trauma’ that Suzie experiences, a take on the five stages of grief.

In 2025, Billie will appear as Capri in series two of hit Netflix supernatural mystery series Wednesday, headed by Jenna Ortega.

It revolves around Wednesday Addams, of The Addams Family, who attempts to solve a murder mystery at her new school.

Billie is also due to portray British journalist Terri White, the former editor of film magazine Empire, in biopic Coming Undone, based on Terri’s memoir of the same name.
