The richest one per cent are set to fork out hundreds of thousands of dollars for the best view to watch Sydney’s firework display comfortably. 

This year’s Harbour Bridge firework display will cost $6.5million to produce and Russian billionaires and Middle Eastern sheiks are coughing up the most money for a front row seat.

He said hiring the 112-foot super-yacht Ghost II for $145,000 allows 24 hours on-board with up to 12 guests, and a chef and waiters serving food and drinks as they ring in the new year.  

If you’re looking for a hotel to book, the presidential suite at the Shangri-La Hotel costs $50,000 a night. 

However, the booking is for a minimum of four nights, which means guests have to cash out an eye-watering total of $200,000.

The Opera Suite at Park Hyatt Hotel is half of what the Shangri-La Hotel is offering for one night, but there’s a minimum stay of seven nights coming to a total of $125,000.

If you’re not looking forward to spending a staggering amount, Bradfield Park under the Harbour Bridge has tickets for $10 each for families. 

If you’d rather not pay anything, Cremorne Point, Kurraba Point, St Leonards Park, Duff Reserve at Point Piper, Dumaresq Reserve at Rose Bay and Robertson Park at Watson’s Bay are completely free.
