Bindi explained that she wanted to recreate a maternity throwback photo that her mother Terri and late father Steve posed for while they were expecting her little brother Robert.

‘Recreating a very special moment. Third trimester love,’ she captioned the post.

In the image, Bindi lifted up her black T-shirt to reveal her blossoming baby bump in all it’s glory.

She completed her look with khaki pants and trainers. Meanwhile, Chandler, 24, was sporting his Australia Zoo uniform.

In her family throwback photo, Terri was similarly lifting up her shirt as Steve and a young Bindi kissed her bare baby bump.

Bindi and Chandler are set to welcome their first child – a daughter – in the coming months, and in November Bindi shared ultrasound footage of her growing baby.

‘Our beautiful daughter is the light of our lives. Beyond thankful that she chose us to be her parents. I can’t wait for her to be here next year,’ Bindi wrote on Instagram at the time.

In the accompanying video, Bindi was seen in an ultrasound room as the camera panned across to show her unborn child projected on the screen.

‘This is so exciting. Look at our daughter, she’s so beautiful,’ she gushed.

Chandler could then be heard in the background saying: ‘Wow, you can see her heartbeat there. Oh my goodness, she is beautiful and very active.’

The daughter of the late conservationist Steve ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ Irwin is currently in her third trimester of pregnancy.

Bindi revealed she was pregnant in August last year, when she uploaded a photo to Instagram of herself and Chandler holding a tiny version of the Australia Zoo uniform.

‘Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021. Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting,’ she wrote.

The couple were married on March 25, in a makeshift ceremony at Australia Zoo just before the country went into COVID-19 lockdown.
