Bindi Irwin has shared adorable photos of her newborn daughter Grace. 

In an Instagram post on Thursday, the wildlife warrior, 22, was seen beaming for the camera as she cradled Grace, next to husband Chandler Powell, 24.

Bindi told fans in the caption that the past week since her birth has been ‘filled with sweet snuggles and infinite love’.

‘Our perfect Grace Warrior is one week old. This week has been filled with sweet snuggles and infinite love,’ Bindi told her millions of followers.

In one photo, Bindi and Chandler who wore matching black ensembles, cradled the newborn.

Little Grace looked cute as a button in a onesie, blanket and beanie, as she slept soundly on her mother’s chest.

Another photo in the post saw Bindi once again cradling Grace, adding a celebratory plaque with the text ‘one week old’.  

On Friday, Bindi announced Grace’s birth in a lengthy Instagram post that has garnered more than a million likes.

She explained that the baby’s two middle names, Warrior and Irwin, were inspired by her late father, wildlife warrior Steve Irwin.

‘March 25, 2021. Celebrating the two loves of my life. Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter,’ Bindi wrote.

‘Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light. Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s,’ she continued.

‘Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad.’

She accompanied the caption with a sweet image of herself and Chandler cradling Grace in a baby blanket.

‘There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet baby girl. She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed,’ Bindi added. 

She also posted an image of Grace’s first onesie, which had an Australian koala printed on the chest. 

Steve, known to millions around the world as ‘the Crocodile Hunter’, was filming a documentary when he was fatally stabbed in the heart by a stingray barb on September 4, 2006 in Batt Reef, Queensland. He was 44 years old.   

Bindi runs Australia Zoo’s operations, alongside mother Terri Irwin and brother Robert Irwin.
