Bindi Irwin shared an emotional tribute to late dad on Father’s Day.

The wildlife warrior, 24, took to Instagram to share an image of her as as a child with Steve, as they embarked on a nighttime adventure in a boat. 

In the picture, Steve is dressed in his trademark khaki outfit while Bindi wears a floral summer top and pink shorts.

They both are seen donning head lamps, with Bindi excitedly holding a baby crocodile.

‘Grandpa Crocodile, I know you would’ve been the most incredible grandfather because you were such an extraordinary dad,’ she wrote beside the image. 

‘Thank you for being an amazing guardian angel for Grace.’

Bindi’s brother Robert, 18, also shared his own tribute to Steve by sharing a throwback photo.

In the image, Robert, who is dressed in a khaki vest and camouflage shorts, looks the spitting image of his late father as he cheekily attempts to grab flowers Steve is holding in his hand.

 ‘It’s Father’s Day today in Australia, and I am sending my love to those who are missing their dad today,’ he wrote beside the image.

‘I cherish all the good times with my dad and feel grateful to be able to keep his memory and legacy alive ❤️’

Bindi and her husband Chandler are parent’s to one-year-old daughter Grace Warrior.

The couple met in 2013 when the American athlete was touring Australia as part of a national wakeboarding competition. 

They are raising Grace at Australia Zoo in Queensland, where they live and work alongside the rest of the Irwin family. 

Bindi’s father Steve Irwin, known to millions around the world as ‘the Crocodile Hunter’, died on September 4, 2006, at the age of 44 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray while filming a documentary on the Great Barrier Reef.
