Bags packed, ready to go! Bizarre moment an elderly man is spotted riding a motorised SUITCASE down a residential street

  • Elderly man has been filmed riding a motorised suitcase through North Kellyville
  • The man wearing an orange helmet has been spotted by locals riding  frequently
  • Motorised bags can be purchased for travellers wishing to get around airports

This is the bizarre moment an elderly man rides a motorised suitcase down a residential street.

Footage captured by local Jess Kybart shows the unknown man travelling up Barry Road, in North Kellyville, on an engine-modified travel bag.

The amused nurse said she took the video of the man, wearing an orange helmet and jacket, to show her husband.

‘I haven’t seen him before and found it hilarious,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘Once you put aside the safety concerns and the fact he did use any sort of hand signals when riding on the road, it was super funny and kind of cool.’

The mother-of-two joked the mode of transport has benefits for peak-time traffic.

‘Definitely saves time on finding a car park at the shops,’ she said.

When she shared the video to a local Facebook group, other Hills residents claimed they have seen the same man riding around the area before.

In 2016, United States company Modobag began retailing motorised suitcases starting from $1,495 USD to help travellers move faster through airports.
