Bizarre moment Melbourne Covid protesters storm a KMART chanting ‘no more mandates’ and dumping all their shopping trolleys in a walkway

  • All the old reliable three word chanted slogans came out in Kmart invasion
  • Other shoppers looked embarrassed at the intrusion by the anti-vaxxers
  • Chaos unfolded at a Melbourne outlet this week, with shoppers left dismayed

About a dozen unmasked protesters have stormed a Kmart store, causing chaos for shoppers, to oppose Victoria’s vaccine mandate.

The bizarre scenes unfolded at a Melbourne outlet on Wednesday, with many disinterested shoppers appearing embarrassed at the intrusion.

Onlookers watched as they filled their trolleys and chanted through the aisles.

‘No vaccine passports. Kill the bill. End the mandate,’ they yelled.

Anti-vaxxers stormed a Melbourne city centre Kmart, filled their baskets and then dumped them at the entrance in a very bizarre display of petulance

But then, their cunning plan took a turn for the even weirder as they dumped their trolleys en masse at the entrance to their shop and walked out onto the street.

The tedium of their three word slogan shouting was then briefly interrupted with two half-hearted blows of a whistle.

At this point the protesters then applauded themselves for causing a nuisance and leaving a mess.

The group seemed to revive their spirits though, and the whistler raised his interest level and pitch.

Then the chanters added another three words to their limited vocabulary – ‘Jail Dan Andrews.’

Mr Andrews has long been a target for Victorian anti-vaxxers.

Earlier it was revealed he plans to lock out the unvaccinated from public venues well into next year.

In mid-October Mr Andrews warned that the ability of unvaccinated people to participate in public events and attend venues would be restricted ‘well into 2022’.

‘For example, the Grand Prix is in April, I don’t think there will be crowds at the Grand Prix made up of people who have not been double dosed,’ Mr Andrews said.

In NSW, unvaccinated people will be able to enjoy the same freedoms as the fully vaccinated from December 15 but Mr Andrews had said that ‘doesn’t make any sense to me’.

‘I cannot put a day on it [when unvaccinated people could enjoy the same freedoms]… it will not be when we reach 90 per cent. It will not be anytime soon. That is going to function for a period of time, well into 2022.’

Mr Andrews has also not ruled out making vaccinations mandatory for children as young as five.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Kmart head office in Victoria seeking comment.
