This is the shocking moment two men trade blows at a suburban train station in front of horrified commuters.

The violent brawl broke out at Lidcombe, in Sydney’s west, on Thursday with the two men throwing punches as calls of ‘break it up’ were shouted multiple times.

At one stage, both of the men come dangerously close to falling onto the tracks and are only stopped by quick-thinking bystanders who were forced to intervene.

The two men had earlier been seen brawling on the ground, before multiple punches and kicks were thrown.

On several occasions, onlookers tried desperately to stop the two men fighting by pulling them away from each other but they managed to continue brawling.

Skateboards were also used as weapons during the fight, which broke out about 8.50am amidst the morning rush.

One of the men appeared at one point with blood gushing down his face.

At another stage during the fight, a skateboard was used by one of the men to take a swing at the other male involved in the violent melee

Police were called to break-up the melee and when they arrived, officers separated the pair. 

A NSW Police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia officers have spoken to those involved and no charges have been laid, with inquiries continuing.  

No serious injuries were reported.
