Blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus gives update on chemotherapy treatments for cancer

Blink-182 singer-bassist Mark Hoppus gave 153 concerned fans an encouraging update on his cancer treatment while on Twitch on Sunday.

The 49-year-old Grammy nominee still hasn’t specified what type of cancer he was diagnosed with, but he admitted he was ‘feeling much better’ than he had on Saturday.

‘I woke up today feeling better,’ Mark said during a game of Blinko benefiting Children’s Hospital LA.

Smiling: Blink-182 singer-bassist Mark Hoppus gave 153 concerned fans an encouraging update on his cancer treatment while on Twitch on Sunday night

‘I went for a walk, and I had a decent breakfast, and I haven’t felt like I was going to throw up today, so we’ll take it as a win.’

Hoppus said he wasn’t as nauseated after his most recent round of chemotherapy treatments, which began in March.

‘I’ve actually, like, watched movies and walked around and cleaned the house and hung out with my dogs,’ the Quarantine rocker – who boasts 3.8M social media followers – smiled.

‘Then I didn’t just feel like a poisoned electrified zombie leaned up against an electric fence like I did the rest, the past couple of rounds.’

And while Mark ‘can’t go anywhere right now’ his wife of 20 years, Skye Everly, attended a Los Angeles Dodgers game with a gal pal on Monday night.

‘I wanted to go to the Dodgers last night – I can’t,’ Hoppus – who’s fully vaccinated – lamented.

‘I want to go hang out with friends and go to a restaurant – I can’t. My white blood cell count is way too low for me to go out so I am stuck trying to get better. That’s alright, I’ll take it.’

The SoCal native announced his diagnosis last Wednesday, tweeting: ‘It sucks and I’m scared, and at the same time I’m blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this.’
