Blue Jays’ Vladimir Guerrero Jr gets crazy out by tossing his GLOVE with the ball stuck in it

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. made the best out of a weird situation by making the extra effort to get an out.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, with the Milwaukee Brewers Christian Yelich up to bat, the slugger hit a ground ball to first.

Guerrero tried to make a play on the ball, but realized that the ball was stuck in his glove. 

In a moment of brilliance, Guerrero took off his glove and threw it – with the ball in his glove – to pitcher Trevor Richards.

Richards caught the glove in stride and tagged first base to record the out.

In spite of the effort, Guerrero and the Blue Jays lost 4-2 to Milwaukee on Wednesday

Despite the stellar effort, the Brewers beat Toronto 4-2 after Abraham Toro hit a two-run home run, Owen Miller had two hits and drove in a pair of runs.

Making his first start of the season after being called up from Triple-A on Tuesday, Toro connected off Toronto right-hander Alex Manoah in the second for his first hit with the Brewers, who are 24-10 this season when hitting at least one home run. The Brewers are 5-16 when they don´t homer.

Toro, who is from Quebec, has three home runs in seven career games in Toronto.

“He threw me a fastball in,” Toro said. “I just tried to keep it simple, keep it short, and I was lucky enough to hit it out.”
