A bizarre car park brawl has broken out between two middle-aged men after a BMW driver blocked an SUV from reversing out of a parking space.

The drivers were in a busy suburban shopping centre car park at Albany Creek in Brisbane’s north when tempers suddenly flared.

The row erupted into violence when the pair exchanged blows and wrestled on the tarmac – before helping each other up moments later and returning to their cars.

Dashcam video from a third vehicle caught the moment the driver of a late-model Toyota Landcruiser tried to leave his parking space but was blocked in by the BMW.

The BMW appears to be stuck in busy traffic at the car park, but the Toyota driver gets out his car to ask the other man to move forward to let him pull out of his space.

He leans through the BMW’s sunroof to chat but the request apparently inflames the BMW driver who seems to tell him to ‘f*** off’, then leaps out his car to confront him.

The two grey-haired men – both dressed in a sunglasses, black t-shirts and jeans – then shout at and shove each other before grappling with each other on the ground.

The BMW driver pins the Toyota driver on the ground and appears to berate him for several seconds, pointing angrily in his face.

But he then helps him up and retrieves the other driver’s sunglasses which had fallen off during the fight and hands them back to him.

The BMW driver then returns to his car while the stunned Toyota driver appears to take a mental note of the BMW driver’s rego plate, as the traffic finally starts to move.

Queensland Police said they had not been made aware of the road rage incident.
