Boar ‘comes back to life’ in back of hunters’ car in Lithuania

This is the remarkable moment a group of hunters are scared half to death after a boar they thought they had killed comes back to life in their car.

The men, who had been on a hunting expedition in the Lithuanian countryside, filmed the enraged animal thrashing around in the boot of their vehicle when it suddenly ‘woke up’ after they had loaded it into the car.

In the clip, the boar can be seen angrily struggling to break free in the back of the car while the mesmerized hunters watch on from the front seats.

As the three men watch the animal frantically trying to escape, they decide the best course of action is to release it.

The hunters then leap out of the car and tentatively try to open the boot.

Two of the men clamber up on the roof of the vehicle so they are out of its way and somehow manage to pull open the door.   

Another man can be seen creeping around the side of the car to try and aim at it with a rifle.

Eventually they decide to get it out of the vehicle as one man opens the door while another holds a rifle ready to shoot it

Two of the hunters clambered all over the back of the vehicle as they tried to let it out without getting in its way

But the would-be shooter is too late as the rapid boar scurries off to the cover of a nearby line of trees. 

After the clip was posted on LiveLeak, several internet users commented that the hunters were right not to try and shoot it again as it hared off into the distance.

‘He didn’t hang around did he!’ One person said.

While another added: ‘Let that one go man… he earned his freedom!’

But the boar is far too quick for the hunters and hares off into the distance towards a nearby line of trees
