The search for a 33-year-old man in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt region has ended in tragedy after his body was found in bushland.

Matthew Shane Boyd was travelling with a friend near Lake Moora when their car became bogged and they walked in separate directions on October 16.

The friend was found in farmland in Dalwallinu. 

Matthew Shane Boyd’s body was found in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt region on Thursday 

Police and SES search crews scoured the area.  

The vehicle was recovered on Saturday in scrubland near Carlyarn Nature Reserve.

A search team found Mr Boyd’s body on Thursday morning and police said a report would be prepared for the coroner.
