The body of a Sydney mother who went missing from her home on Christmas Day has been found.

Tanya Laws, 39, was found in bushland at Engadine, in Sydney’s south. Police say the death is not suspicious.

Speaking through a friend on Facebook, her husband Stephen announced her passing.

‘It is with deepest sorrow that today I have received the news that my beloved Tanya has passed away,’ he said.

‘I’d like to thank everyone involved in the search, and for your prayers and support.’

The mother-of-three was remembered online as a ‘loving and caring person’, who was dedicated to her husband and young children.

Mourners remembered her sense of humour and beautiful, warm smile as they posted on Facebook to comfort her grieving husband.

‘Tanya was always a cheery caring soul and she was a hard worker who adored her three children,’ one woman wrote.

‘You will be missed Tanya and I loved our pizza nights at work on night duty.’
