Bondi Vet star Dr Chris Brown shares throwback snap from when he was a 17-year-old schoolboy

He’s the handsome vet with a heart of gold, and his own TV show.

And on Saturday Dr Chris Brown shared a throwback photo from his teens that showed the Bondi Vet star is a slightly less glamorous light.

The 39-year-old took to Instagram to share the photo in which he’s aged 17, looking very much like a typical teen dressed in a school uniform.

Looking very much like he does now, but for a youthful visage and shaggy coif, the TV personality used the photograph to poke fun at the recently tumultuous state of Australian politics.

‘If anyone knows the pressure that political leadership can bring, it’s this guy. Being  a high school prefect wasn’t easy people,’ Chris joked.

The good doctor added jokingly: ‘It’s also not easy knowing you really peaked at the age of 17.’

It comes after Chris was forced to admit his ‘criminal past’ after his father revealed his teenage indiscretion on Thursday’s Fitzy & Wippa breakfast show.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! host was left red-faced when his dad Graeme recalled his moment of recklessness as a high school student.

‘All I can remember is the havoc he created after the school formal!’ Mr Brown said of the embarrassing incident.

He explained that Chris and his friends were competing to see who could touch the detachable letters on the sign above the local movie theatre.

‘Of course Chris being taller than everyone else, he’s the only one who could do it. Unfortunately when he touched it, they fell down to the ground,’ he said.

‘The noise and cheering carried on so much that the owner of the movie theatre came out and saw the damage that had been created to his letters, so they took off.’

Graeme said he got a call at midnight from the local police station saying they had apprehended Chris.

Chris confirmed he was interviewed by the police and revealed he faced a charge of malicious damage.

‘I had to defend myself and say that, you know, I’d been studying pretty hard for the HSC and was hoping to forge a career like the old man in veterinary science,’ he said and luckily for the aspiring vet, the malicious damage charge was dropped.
