Boxer Nicola Adams and rugby legend Jonny Wilkinson are reportedly set to appear on Bear Grylls’ new show.

The show is said to be a spin-off of Channel 4’s Bear Grylls’ Wild Weekends, which sees the titular adventurer disappear into the wilds with celebrity guests for a two-day excursion.

Nicola, 38, and Jonny, 41, are said to have filmed their gruelling scenes on Dartmoor this week, according to The Sun.

Nicola famously performed in the first-ever same-sex coupling on Strictly Come Dancing 2020 – but had to withdraw after she and her pro partner Katya Jones tested positive for COVID-19.

The show is said to air in the spring on ITV.

A source said: ‘Nicola jumped at the chance to spend 48 hours in the wild with Bear. They filmed the show in Dartmoor and it was pretty tough going given the wet weather.

‘Nicola is a great sportswoman and was game for everything Bear threw at her. The premise of the show is not only to teach the stars how to survive in the wild but also to show a different side to them.
