Boy, 8, rushed to hospital after hanging from the NECK at popular Pennsylvania amusement park

An eight-year-old boy was left unconscious after getting stuck hanging by his neck from a rope ladder at a TikTok-famous amusement park in Pennsylvania.

Two off-duty police officers performed CPR on the child after the apparent freak accident at Thrillz High Flying Adventure Park in the King of Prussia shopping mall. 

The boy, who was later rushed to hospital, had gotten tangled up after starting to climb headfirst down a rope ladder at the park which reportedly opened three weeks ago.

The accident, which happened at around 1.40pm on Saturday afternoon, left many children and adults in tears, onlookers said.

Lisa Cannon, who owns Thrillz High Flying Adventure Park, said in a letter to NBC 10: ‘After our investigation and reviewing camera footage of today’s incident, we can say that the boy was seen climbing headfirst down a rope ladder and became tangled.’

The rope was cut by employees within 10 seconds to get the boy down.

CBS3 reported that he was able to speak to first responders.  

A mother who witnessed the incident said: ‘My son and my nephew were really upset.

‘They just wanted to go. I mean my son was on the verge of tears. 

‘A lot of children were crying. A lot of adults were crying.’

The park stayed open on Saturday but the section where the accident occurred was closed.

Thrillz High Flying Adventure has another park in Connecticut where it gained online fame thanks to its obstacle course reminiscent of the TV show ‘Wipeout.’

TikTok videos showing users playing in the park have amassed millions of views.

On its Facebook page it is described as ‘Connecticut’s most exciting action/adventure park featuring huge airbags, zip lines, climbing walls, ropes courses, party rooms, VR ride and more!’

The Pennsylvania branch only opened earlier this month.

It is 37,000-square feet and features a host of rides, games and virtual reality experiences. 

It is run by husband-and-wife duo Lisa and Nick Cannon who claim to have spent more than 15 years developing a corporate career in Wall Street before deciding to take on the park. 

It comes after a father saw his leg ‘snap in half’ while playing at a trampoline park.  

Ryan Schelin, from Rathdrum, Idaho, had taken his children to Boise trampoline park in Nampa, when he challenged himself to bounce high enough to touch the top of a 12 ft padded wall.

Footage shows the grinning 30-year-old raise his hands in a mid-air celebration as he achieves the feat to the delight of his cheering family.

However, 252 Ibs Ryan then ‘loses concentration’ and lands with all his weight on his right leg – causing it to ‘buckle’ under the pressure and ‘snap’ with a loud crack.

The dad-of-three says the accident left him able to ‘fold his leg in half’ and see the bones sticking out of his flesh.
