According to Woman’s Day, Boy decided at Christmas to overhaul his health by cutting out carbs and sugar.

In February, the singer revealed he would regularly go on walks around Sydney’s Continental Park while on a production break from The Voice.

This is not the first time he has been on a diet.

In 2017, the British star – whose real name is George Alan O’Dowd – said he would regularly snack on almonds during the blind auditions to maintain his frame.

Boy said he had a tailored diet and ate at ‘regular times,’ and typically between five hours a meal.

‘I cook everything myself and I don’t buy anything that’s in a packet. Eating out becomes a bit difficult. But you just have to ask if they use sugar in a dish – and you’d be surprised how much gets put in,’ he explained.

He added: ‘You have a five-hour gap between meals, no coffee or herbal teas in between, just still or fizzy water. Once you start doing it and your body is getting the food it needs, you don’t get those horrible hunger pangs.’
