Boys as young as 13 claim they are forced to impregnate ISIS women at Syrian detention centres

Boys as young as 13 have claimed they were forced to have sex with ISIS women and impregnate them in Syrian detention centres as part of a plot to increase the population of the Caliphate as there are no men in the camps.

The women have forced at least ten young teenagers into performing sexual acts, two victims have claimed.

‘We are being forced to have sex with the ISIS women, to impregnate,’ Ahmet, 13, and Hamid, 14, told a guard at Camp al-Hol in northern Syria, Syrian Defence Force officials told The Daily Beast. They have also confirmed this is also happening at Roj camp where jihadi brides Shamima Begum, from Britain, and American Hoda Muthana are held.

The sprawling al-Hol camp houses tens of thousands of women and children linked to the Islamic State group – and violence, exploitation and lawlessness is rampant there, international aids groups have said. Some women linked to ISIS at the al-Hol camp still feed their children the group’s extremist ideology.

Now, Ahmet and Hamid have claimed that they have been victims of sexual violence, with one of the boys telling camp staff he was forced to have sex with eight ISIS women in just a few days.

Officials told The Daily Beast that the ISIS women at the camp had wanted to get pregnant as part of a twisted plot to increase the population of the Caliphate.

They said there is a high rate of pregnancies in the camp, which should not be possible as ISIS men are held in separate camps.

Ahmet and Hamid, along with eight other young boys, have since been rescued from al-Hol camp and taken to the newly opened Orkesh rehab center in the city of Qamishli, northeastern Syria.

A camp guard said the boys were rescued by Syrian Defence Force troops who found them hidden by the ISIS women in underground tunnels.

Young boys have also been raped by ISIS women in the Roj camp, where jihadi brides Begum and Muthana are held.

One boy at the Roj camp collapsed and was rushed to hospital after he was plied with a Viagra-like drug to make him perform, reports The Daily Beast.

Kurdish authorities currently operate more than two dozen detention facilities scattered across northeastern Syria, holding about 10,000 IS fighters.

The camp was initially used to house the families of IS fighters in late 2018 as US-backed Kurdish-led forces recaptured territory in eastern Syria from the militants. In March 2019, they seized the last IS-held villages, ending the ‘Caliphate’ that the group declared over large parts of Iraq and Syria in 2014.

Among the detainees are some 2,000 foreigners whose home countries have refused to repatriate them, including about 800 Europeans.

At al-Hol, about 50,000 Syrians and Iraqis are crowded into tents in the fenced-in camp. Nearly 20,000 of them are children; most of the rest are women, wives and widows of IS fighters.

In a separate, heavily guarded section of the camp known as the annex are an additional 10,000 people: 2,000 women from 57 other countries — they are considered the most die-hard IS supporters — along with about 8,000 of their children.

Last year, US-backed Syrian fighters concluded a 24-day sweep at al-Hol during which dozens of extremists were detained and weapons were confiscated in the operation. The operation came after IS sleeper cells committed crimes inside the camp.
