A violent brawl broke out at a concert after a teen gangster ‘linked to the Rebels’ is killed in a dramatic police chase after he allegedly robbed a house and stole a ute from Movie World.
Logan Dreier, 18, was one of three suspects who allegedly broke into a house in Maudsland on the Gold Coast at 9am on Friday.
Police were called to the residence, but Dreier and a 17-year-old boy fled to Movie World where they stole a Toyota Hilux V6 ute which led to a 30-minute chase with police.
Dreier allegedly lost control of the ute and crashed it into a pole which caused it to roll onto its side in the coastal suburb of Southport in the Gold Coast, 17kms away from the popular theme park.
He was involved in the ‘Street Team Brotherhood 4209’ low-level street gang, which allegedly has ties to the Rebel Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.
The announcement of his death caused a violent brawl at the Parkwood Tavern where his friends were attending a concert.

Police arrested one of the men at the house they allegedly broke into but the other two fled to Movie World in a car with stolen registration plates, ditched the car, and then stole a ute.
Dreier allegedly tried to take a corner when he hit a pole and was thrown out of the ute.
Several ambulance crews worked for 45 minutes trying to stabilise his condition and he had to be fitted with a breathing apparatus.
He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition but died hours later.
The other alleged car thief and gang member, a 17-year-old boy, was arrested at the scene and treated for minor injuries.
The boy has since been charged with break and enter, burglary and possession of dangerous drugs.
Though Dreier was only 18 years old, he was already well-known to police and had a long criminal record.
He had charges of drug offences, car thefts, break and enter, fraud and robbery.

Police believe the bikie gangs target youths about 16 years old who have left school and are on the street.

Dreier’s friends, mostly teenagers, were attending an all-ages rap concert at the Parkwood Tavern when they heard the news of his death.
A massive brawl erupted outside of the tavern which spilt out onto the parking lot.
Several men started to punch each other while one man grabbed a chair and smashed it against another man’s face.
Security staff tried to stop the violence, but they were outnumbered by the large group of teenagers.
Police arrived at the scene and forced the teenagers to disperse.
No one was arrested or seriously injured.

One of Dreier’s friends spoke to Nine News the day after his death and the violent brawl.
‘At the end of the day, I’ll still back my friend. Even though he done something he shouldn’t have been doing,’ the friend said.
‘He is still a kid. He is still loved by a mother.’
Friends and family on Facebook shared their love for Dreier and said he was too young to die.
‘Rest in paradise my little don. Another solider taken away to young. This life ain’t fair. Love ya always.’
