Tottenham are reportedly edging nearer towards agreeing personal terms with Brentford goalkeeper David Raya ahead of a proposed summer move.
There has been interest in the Spanish shot-stopper who enjoyed a glittering season at the Gtech community stadium and it appears a move to Spurs could soon be complete.
Raya has held talks with Tottenham following Ange Postecoglou’s arrival at the club and an agreement with the player is imminent, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Manchester United previously held interest in Raya as they look for potential new additions to their goalkeeping department alongside David de Gea who is yet to sign a new deal at Old Trafford.
However, it appears Spurs are now in pole position for Raya’s signature with a long-term deal reportedly almost agreed between the player’s party and club.

The 27-year-old will fill the spot between the sticks that is set to be vacated by veteran goalkeeper Hugo Lloris who recently indicated his desire to pursue a new challenge.
Lloris explained: ‘We are coming to an important moment, whether for the club or for me. It’s the end of an era. I have desires for other things.’
But, any move for Raya will hinge on Tottenham’s ability to negotiate a price for the player who still has a year left on his existing deal at Brentford.
Raya rejected renewed contract offers from Thomas Frank’s side last year and in January as interest began to grow from other Premier League clubs.

Brentford’s apparent demands of a £40million fee however are said to be deemed too expensive by Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy who oversees transfers.
Instead, Spurs reportedly want to lower that fee before finalising their move for Raya who could be Postecoglou’s first signing of a new era at the London outfit.
The Spanish international impressed as he kept the fifth-highest number of Premier League clean sheets last season (12) as the Bees secured a top half finish.
Spurs also hold reported interest in Liverpool reserve goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher who could be viewed as a cheaper option given his lack of Premier League experience.
