Bride is slammed by social media users after posing with a wedding ring too small for her

Bride is mocked over wedding ring that was too small to fit over her knuckle – but some slam the photographer for the unflattering snap

  • Snap of the ring was shared on the Facebook group That’s it, I’m Ring Shaming
  • American user posted it on Saturday and social media users quickly reacted to it

A bride has been mocked online for her tiny wedding ring as it failed to reach past her knuckle on her big day.

An image of the ring was shared on the Facebook group That’s it, I’m Ring Shaming, by a user from America.

Showing the bride posing with her hand on top of her husband’s, the close-up photograph was posted with the caption: ‘Ummmm…why wouldn’t you make sure your rings fit on your wedding day.

‘This is her profile pic. I need to also add that after creeping her page she definitely was not pregnant.’

Social media users were quick to criticise the wedding ring, with some insisting the photographer shouldn’t have bothered taking an image of the accessory at close range.

One individual wrote: ‘My eyes, they burn!’ as another questioned: ‘What fresh hell is this?!’

‘They should have just taken a picture of the rings instead of on their hands,’ a third suggested. ‘Hopefully she got them resized because yikes.’

But some users blamed the photographer for taking the close-up shot of their hands

‘Did they get engaged and married on the same day?’, one shocked social media users queried.

Another suggested: ‘One word… chain! Put that wrong-sized hoop of despair on one and wear it around your neck!’

And while others sympathised with the bride, claiming her hands looked swollen, they still insisted that they wouldn’t have made the image their profile picture on social media.

Many users pointed out that the jewellery looked ‘uncomfortable’ to wear and questioned why the couple hadn’t bought a cheap alternative to use for the photos

‘I’m allergic to cold (makes no sense, I know) and the swelling always starts in my hands and feet’, one individual admitted, before adding: ‘Either way, I wouldn’t make this my profile picture.’

The photograph, which was posted to the group on August 3, was liked more than 300 times and had nearly 100 comments.

It comes after a bride-to-be’s neon green engagement ring was blasted online, with social media users comparing the ‘radioactive’ jewellery to kryptonite.
