Bride punches wedding crasher during scuffle

Unwelcome guest: William Dickinson, 25, of Kansas, is accused of cashing a wedding in Wisconsin, fondling underaged girls and attacking the father of the bride

A couple celebrating their wedding in Wisconsin had their special day marred by violence when police say a drunken stranger crashed their reception, fondled two underaged guests and struck the father of the bride.

But the unruly wedding crasher, identified as William Dickinson, 25, got his comeuppance when the infuriated newlywed punched him in the face before he was hauled off to jail by police.

According to a criminal complaint, Dickinson, from Kansas, and two co-workers were having a drink at the bar at the Best Western Hotel in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on Friday when they decided to crash a couple’s wedding reception being held at the venue.

Dickinson’s friend Patrick Smith later admitted to police that their goal was to ‘get laid,’ according to the complaint, first cited by The Smoking Gun.

The 25-year-old, however, allegedly took the prank a step too far when he tried to dance with two 17-year-old girls and an 18-year-old guest.

Two of the victims claimed that the intruder rubbed and squeezed their buttocks, and one 17-year-old girl said that Dickinson invited her to join him in his hotel room – an offer she turned down.

When a 14-year-old girl confronted Dickinson about his conduct, the 5-foot-10, 220-pound man allegedly pulled on the girl’s hair, hurting her.

During the fracas that followed, Dickinson allegedly punched the father of the bride in the face, causing him to fall to the floor.

By his own admission, the pugnacious wedding crasher ‘liked to fight people’; he said that only the old age of the bride’s dad stopped him from harming the man further.

When Dickinson later approached the bride and tried to apologize to her, expressing hope that he ‘didn’t ruin her party,’ the incensed woman punched him in the face.

According to the complaint, Dickinson told police ‘he probably deserved it.’

The 25-year-old was arrested and charged with physical abuse of a child, disorderly conduct and two counts of misdemeanour sexual assault.

He was freed on Tuesday after posting $1,000 bond. The conditions of his release prohibit him from drinking alcohol, contacting any of the victims or being in the presence of any underaged girls. Dickinson is due back in court of March 5.
