With the royal wedding over, and the official photographs released of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, it became very apparent how picture-perfect the day was in Windsor.
But a group of hilarious Australian brides have come forward to share their not-so glamorous wedding photos, many of which involve unreliable wedding party members, cheeky children and even a mock proposal.

‘To be totally honest it was an unstaged pic. We were just getting ready to cut the cake and didn’t even know we were being photographed. It was just a perfectly timed photo,’ she told FEMAIL.
‘My husband is still just as terrified six years on,’ she joked.

The dancing at Candi Symes’ wedding got a little out of hand when her father decided to manufacture a dirty dancing move.
‘In the picture my dad had decided to pick me up on the dance floor, it was only seconds later before he fell, bringing me down with him. Luckily no one was hurts and it is just a funny story to tell now – I don’t remember who took the picture, but I’m glad they did,’ she explained.

Just as they looked up to smile the photographer dropped a brand new camera. This was the resulting photo.
‘We laughed and laughed,’ she said.

And while you can organise everything as best you can, when it comes down to it, things can turn pear-shaped on the day in question.

‘At the time I thought my veil got caught on something. The hall I was married in is over 100 years old but there was no damage done to the veil and now I’m thinking my brother may have accidentally stepped on the veil as I was walking in,’ she said.
‘Didn’t phase me and it makes for a good laugh now.’
