‘It ended with me in tears’: Victoria’s Secret model Bridget Malcolm reveals she was once forced to shoot naked for a high-profile magazine and admits she felt ‘coerced and unsafe’

She has long been open about her experiences as a model.

And on Monday, Australian stunner Bridget Malcolm revealed how she was once forced to go naked on set of a photoshoot, and ended up in tears on set as a result.

In a powerful and lengthy blog post, the former Victoria’s Secret model, 26, admitted that she felt ‘coerced and unsafe’ during the shoot, which was a few years ago for an unnamed ‘high-profile magazine.’

Bridget said she signed up for the shoot thinking no nudity would be involved, but things soon changed.

‘Upon beginning to shoot, the photographer informed me that whilst there would be no nudity shown, he wanted me to shoot entirely nude – “for editing purposes,” Bridget wrote, without identifying the photographer.

She said after much pressure, she eventually stripped off.

The blonde – who hails from Perth – said that she then was shooting later that day in nothing but a fur coat near a busy street, but was asked to go naked again.

‘The shot ended with me in tears, needing to take a minute to get my composure back,’ Bridget said, adding she initially refused but was pressured.

She added: ‘The photographer then came over and apologised, claiming that he didn’t realise we had an audience.’

‘I truly would love to believe him,’ she said, saying it wasn’t until recently that she gained the courage to say no to things.

Bridget has long been open about her experience in the modelling industry and recently explained how she came out of depression and a mental rut.

In February on her blog, Bridget said she turned to training and eating well to become a more confident and healthy version of herself.

‘I want to close on the two most empowering things I have ever done for myself. They are exercise and eating well,’ Bridget wrote in a blog post.

‘The day I decided that no matter what happened in my head, I would not starve myself, was one of the best days of my life.’

‘After ensuring that I was giving my body what it needed, my mental state began to clear up. And once I added in regular exercise, my confidence began to rise up again.’
