Brie Larson confirms split from Elijah Allan-Blitz while posing topless under jacket on magazine

Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson confirmed her newly-single status while posing topless under a black tweed blazer and matching pants on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar’s April Reinvention issue

While reflecting on her future plans and hope for having children, the 33-year-old Room star made a surprising revelation about her love life and upcoming schedule, which she says is currently ‘completely open.’

‘I don’t have a next job. I don’t have a home. I don’t have a partner. I don’t have a plan,’ she told readers, after her recent split from Elijah Allan-Blitz, who began dating in 2019, following the end of her six-year relationship to ex-fiancé to Alex Greenwald, the lead singer of the band Phantom Planet.

Ultimately, she hopes to become a mother though ‘how that happens, when that happens, in what capacity’ remains unknown to her at the moment.

The Sacramento native went on to explain that she is enjoying ‘this period of adventure,’ which includes exploring the world and going to art museums.

Larson then stated how she needs to take time to experience life before signing up for a new role otherwise fans would just see ‘a copy of a copy of a copy.’

‘You can’t play a character that’s based off of—I don’t know—watching documentaries and secondhand information,’ the Hope Has Wings singer insisted.

Over the years, she says she has also mastered owning her own choices after realizing she has to ‘live with’ herself ‘in a way that nobody else has to.’

‘The choices I make, I have to live with, whether I regret them or not,’ she explained. ‘Artistically, I always understood that. But for some reason, as me, it’s been totally different.’

The Golden Globe winner went on to confess that if someone were to ‘follow’ her ‘around on set’ they might think she ‘really knows what she’s doing’ but could ‘go home’ that same day thinking, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing.’

‘I get insecure, and I think I’m not enough, or I have a hard time asking for help or speaking up for myself in relationships,’ Larson admitted.

Despite helming the first female-led superhero franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Larson said she nearly passed on Captain Marvel because of her nerves.

‘I was scared of what would happen to me,’ she said, before pointing out how a role life that could prevent her being able to live freely without constantly being recognized.

‘I was like, ‘What world is this, where these are the choices I have to make as an artist?’ Larson marveled.

And despite her high-profile career, the actress says ‘anytime’ she feels that she’s ‘being put too much on a pedestal, it’s’ her ‘job to figure out how to remove that within’ herself.

After turning 33 in October, the star said ‘certain existential questions’ came up for her.

‘I had all the same normal fears as everybody else about being single and being 30,” she says. Aside from everything that was happening in the public eye, she felt she would soon be called to make big life choices,’ she said. ‘What do I want? How does a family and a future fit in with my weird life?’

Through the COVID-19 pandemic, she also confronted thoughts like: ‘Am I allowed to exist? Am I allowed to just be lovable as I am? Am I worthy of just being here?’

Later, Larson defended her pivot to action movies after taking home an Academy Award in 2016 for her powerful performance in the drama, Room, about a woman held captive for seven years with her young son.

This marks the first time Larson has publicly stated she is no longer dating Allan-Blitz, following some speculation that they parted ways last month after she celebrated Valentine’s Day seemingly alone on her couch in pajamas.

Instead of a sweet tribute to her beau, she marked the occasion by posting a slideshow, featuring throwbacks of her and pals Miho Suzuki, Alia Penner, and Laurel Kelly, captioned: ‘Happy Galentine’s Day to my besties.’

She and Elijah were first romantically linked in 2019 and eventually collaborated on virtual reality-based project, The Messy Truth VR Experience, that earned them a Primetime Emmy Award.

They went public about their relationship during the 2020 Academy Awards.

They were first seen kissing in a Calabasas parking lot in July of 2019, although they attempted to keep things between them away from the public for an extended period of time.

The former couple were last pictured out together in September 2022.

Prior to becoming involved with the filmmaker, the actress was in a long-term relationship with Greenwald.

The two first began dating in 2013 and they went on to announce their engagement in May of 2016, although it was ultimately called off three years later.

The Kong: Skull Island actress also briefly dated actors Cody Linley and John Patrick Amedori before entering into a relationship with her former partner.
